Time Commitment: 10 hours/week – for 2 semesters

The student body officers are elected by a plurality vote open to the entire BYU-Idaho student body every two semesters.

President

Special Requirements:

• Served as a volunteer for the Student Representative Council.
• Served as a director or higher in a different BYU-Idaho student led organization.
• See the Elections Policy for additional requirements.

The Student Body President leads the Student Representative Council, the Student Leadership Council, directly oversees the work of the Student Voice, and represents the students of BYU-Idaho as a member of the President’s Council and University Council.

Vice President

Special Requirements:

• Served as a volunteer for the Student Representative Council.
• Served in a different BYU-Idaho student led organization at the "program manager" level or higher.
• See the Elections Policy for additional requirements.

The Student Body Vice President assists the president in leading the Student Representative Council, supervises the involvement in administrative councils and the research activity of the Student Representatives, and represents the students of BYU-Idaho as amember of the Student Well-Being Council.
