"The creation of BYU-Idaho is one of the most important educational events of the restoration. The lessons that are being learned and will be learned on this campus will influence members and non-members the world over."
Elder David A. Bednar.

Current Updates on Foundations
Starting Fall Semester 2008, BYU-Idaho will implement a new general education program called Foundations. Just as the name suggests, these courses have been created with the goal of helping students build a strong foundation for their education here at BYU-Idaho and throughout their lives.
Instead of traditional survey courses, BYU-Idaho's new Foundations classes provide a more focused approach, allowing students to delve deeper into specific aspects of the subject matter. The courses are interdisciplinary and are designed to fully implement the BYU-Idaho Learning Model.
For current students, the Foundations program is optional. Classes will be offered in phases for current students who wish to participate.
The Student Representative Council is currently working with the administration on a survey that will be distributed to a large percentage of students to find out student's feelings about the foundations courses.
If any students have ideas or concerns about foundations courses and aren't asked to fill out the survey, they are welcome to share on the SRC Input page at http://web.byui.edu/SRCInput/Default.aspx.
Results of the survey will be posted on the SRC home page.
