Job Description:
Applicant must possess a Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Social Work, Social Sciences, Education, or a similar field. Employer seeks individual who has previous experience working with developmentally disabled individuals. Will work 40 hours a week, days and hours vary. Starting wage is between 30,000-35,000 depending on experience. Employer has excellent benefits. Pre-hire training is required. Jobs are available in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, and Pocatello.

Job Title:Psycho-social rehabilitation Specialist

Job Description:

Duties:

Responsible for providing tracking services for juveniles on probation, Tracking services are to include; ability to influence clients as a positive role model, and assist in making positive life choices. Will meet with clients at school and home, and will assist clients in meeting restitution and community service goals. At times may be asked to transport clients to and/or from counseling sessions, work detail, and community service destinations. May be asked to administer drag and alcohol tests for female clients and curfew checks at odd hours. May be asked to tutor clients struggling in areas of difficulty regarding schoolwork.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist

Objective: To teach youth and their families life skills so they can be more happy, healthy, and a positive part of their family. We accomplish this by working with both the youth and their family on building the skills the youth needs in order to succeed.

    Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one time with an assigned youth on a weekly basis.
  2. Work with family members, extended family members, school personnel, and other adults involved with the youth.
  3. Participate in community based activities to teach the child hands-on life skills.
  4. Follow the youth's service plan to reach the goals set for the youth.
  5. Maintain progress notes on daily activities with the youth.
  6. Meet with the youth's clinician to review their progress.
  7. Make and return phone calls related to the youth as needed.
  8. Complete reviews as necessary.
  9. Complete 20 hours of professional development per year.

Educational Requirements: Must hold a bachelor's degree in a human service field such as psychology, social work, or a related field. If an individual does not possess the above degrees, they may have twenty-one (21) college credit hours in human services; these credit hours must be approved by CenterPointe.

Hours: As arranged with assigned family

Pay Range: $14.00 - $18.00/DOE

Benefits:Offered to full-time employees (full-time is 30 hours or more per week) after 90 days of employment
