Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society that promotes "the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians."
To join all you need is 12 history credits, a minimum 3.1 GPA in history and a 3.0 GPA or higher overall. For the $45 fee (that will be carged to your student account when your application is processed) you will have a lifetime membership in the society and receive a year subscription to the society's academic journal The Historian.
Phi Alpha Theta is a great way to network and make friends, learn about history as a field, and prepare for graduate school. If you are interested in applying see Brother Yost in room 262M in the Ricks Building.
