Education, politics, agriculture, technology, education, international aid, and tradition versus modernity all have tremendous impact and will be discussed and debated. Prosper Lwamasaka is an education administrator in the Kampala Uganda School District. He oversees the curriculum and faculty for over 2000 public schools. Ssimbwa Busulwa is a tribal leader responsible for maintaining the traditions of his culture, while at the same time preparing his people to meet the challenges of the modern world. Event: Sufism: The Heart of Islam Additional Details: Hajj Syed Salman Chishty, from India, is a leader of Sufism, a central sect of Islam. He speaks of love of God, love of family, love of worship, and love of neighbor. "Love towards all, malice towards none" is the principle laid down by Syed Salman's ancestor and founder of Sufism in the 12th Century. Syed Salman has spoken at the United Nations, to a delegation of nations in and around South Asia, has spoken at John's Hopkins University and at the Library of Congress.
