This page was created in an attempt to make Financial Aid more available to BYU Idaho students. Not all of these scholarships require an ASME memberships.

 

 

BYU-Idaho Scholarships

Academic Scholarships

- No application is needed recipients qualify based on cumulative grade point average. Other scholarships are also available, for more information contact the BYU Idaho scholarship page.

Mechanical Engineering Department Scholarship

- Applicants can receive up to half tuition scholarships. Applications can be downloaded by visiting the Mechanical Engineering Department Scholarship Website.

ASME Scholarships

Idaho Section Scholarship

- This scholarship is available to ASME members only. Applicants write a one page application.

ASME National Scholarships

- These scholarships are available to ASME members only. Applicants compete on a national level, however, many of the scholarships are unawarded because of lack of applicants. All students are encouraged to apply. Application can be filed from Feb 1 through March 15. Auxiliary Scholarships

- The list of scholarships offered by the ASME Auxiliary for high school, undergraduate and graduate students.
 

FIRST ASME Scholarships

- The ASME Foundation-ASME Auxiliary FIRST Clarke Scholarship recognizes and rewards students whose FIRST experience has inspired an interest in pursuing an engineering career.

ASME Student Loan Funds

- The ASME Student Loan Fund has helped over 2,300 ASME student members with low interest student loans.
- Interest free loans till graduation offered by the ASME Auxiliary.

Graduate Teaching Fellowships

- A collaboration between ASME and ME departments to encourage outstanding doctoral candidates in Mechanical (and related) Engineering to pursue careers in engineering education.

Federal Financial Aid

- Federal aid can be received by filling out a FAFSA. Mechanical engineers eligible for a Pell Grant and who are US Citizens are also eligible for SMART Grants.
