ASMEThis page includes all projects that are currently in progress by all engineers, and computer related fields. Anyone from all fields are encouraged to participate as most projects can include other Student Associations within Campus. If there is a project that you feel would need to be advertised, contact the webmaster. This web page is designed to be a 'project board' where students can find projects to work on and increase their experience as an engineer at BYUI. If you have an idea and want students to participate and aid in your project contact the webmaster. If you want to participate in any of these projects, contact the team leads.

rcbaja The RC Baja is a group of talented engineers who provide creativity in designing and manufacturing a Baja. Every year the RC baja teach challenges colleges throughout Western United States and Canada in a race. Competitors have the opportunity to design and manufacturer the chassis, suspension and other various parts of a car. If you are thinking about entering into a manufacturing job or if you want a job in an automotive industry, then this competition is for you!

SAE - Society of Automotive Engineers

aero_r_blu_spot The SAE Aero Design Series is a collegiate design competition that is held every year. The objective of the competition is to build a remote control airplane that can lift the heaviest payload while following competition design restraints. The competition gives students the opportunity to apply knowledge from their core classes and learn to work on an engineering team. It also provides students with experience that will help them obtain quality internships and career opportunities.

sdc2015 TThe ASME Student Design Team competes annually in the Student Design Competition. ASME Student Members present their solutions to a range of design problems- from everday household tasks to groundbreaking space exploration. Each team is required to design, construct and operate a prototype meeting the requirements of an annually determined problem statement. The 2015 Student Design Competition is "Robots for Relief". Students showcase their talent to design, construct and operate a prototype meeting the specified constraints. This year's challenge is develop a scale down version of a transporter capable of carrying supplies over rough terrain.

hpvc ASME's international Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate the application of sound engineering design principles in the development of sustainable and practical transportation alternatives.In the HPVC, students work in teams to design and build efficient, highly engineered vehicles for everyday use—from commuting to work, to carrying goods to market.
Rocket Team

rocket BYUI provides a unique experience where students participate in small groups to develop a rocket. Student from all departments aid in the propulsion, aerodynamics, electronics and other various tasks in ensuring success for their team.
