Ricks College Hall of Fame: Meet the newest members
Lisa Rasmussen-Thueson

Rasmussen-Thueson, basketball player, ranks sixth for the best scoring average for her 16.9 points per game average in 1994-95. She scored a total of 540 points that season, the third best in Ricks College women’s basketball.

She was named All-Region Second Team her freshman year and All-Region First Team her sophomore year, as well as All-American Fist Team. She was also named to the NJCAA All Tournament Team. Rasmussen-Thueson and her husband, R.J., have five children.


Glen W. Dalling

As head coach, Dalling’s team recorded three ICAC championships and played in seven post-season tournaments.

In 1984, he was named the Men’s Region 18 Director in the Nation Junior College Athletic Association.

Dalling is married to the former Dorothy Heileson of Tetonia. They are the parents of nine children.


Teresa Gemar Smith

Smith ranks in the top two-year scorers in Ricks College women’s basketball history. She scored 487 points and averaged 15.7 points per game her freshman year. Over two years at Ricks, she scored 860 points and averaged 14.3 points per game, ranking sixth of all time.

Smith made the NJCAA All Tournament Team in 1993, and in 1994 was named the Region Most Valuable Player and was the All American Honorable Mention. She and her husband Ryan have five children.


Reynold Gardner

Gardner won the Region Heavyweight Championship in 1993 and earned NJCAA All American status in 1992 and again 1993. He was named “Ideal Male Athlete” at Ricks College and won the NJCAA National Heavyweight Championship in 1993.

He was PAC 10 Heavyweight Champion when he wrestled at Oregon State University. Garnder was named Alumni Athlete of the Year at Ricks College in 1995.

Reynold and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.
