Tased and confused: police officers get trained in the ways of the Taser
When police go into a situation, the more options they have available to neutralize a violent suspect, the safer the officer and the suspect will be.
Last week, Idaho law enforcement officers underwent two days of training to use a Taser X26, a non-lethal weapon that can be used to debilitate a suspect without killing them by shocking them with 50,000 volts.

BSU, ISU, BYU‑I update techs
As technology continues advancing, universities across Idaho strive to improve their ability to teach by implementing new technologies. Directors in the various offices of Information Technologies in Idaho universities seem to agree on a median of four years for the life span of any given technology before finding a need to update it.

Students arrested in connection with campus bookstore thefts
On Feb. 14, two international BYU‑Idaho students and a former student were arrested and charged with stealing books from the BYU‑Idaho Bookstore and reselling them over the Internet.

Utahns consider track system
Brigham Young University-Idaho is having an effect outside of the university as well as inside. A task force for the Utah State Board of Regents is currently considering the BYU‑I track system as a way to alleviate problems in the Utah K-12 educational system.

Exhibit opens in Idaho Falls
Ink and Blood, Dead Sea Scrolls to the English Bible
opened Friday at the Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls. The exhibit contains over 100 biblical artifacts, including fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the first editions of the King James Bible.
