When trick-or-treating has lost its fun and costume parties do not seem to cut it, take a hike.
Join others on the Scary Hike on Oct. 30 at Henry’s Fork from 7-10 p.m. This Halloween-inspired event will give participants the chance to face real-life fears found in nature. No fake goblins or monsters stand in the way of the hike’s natural terrors.
For $3, participants can enjoy the thrill of an eerie night hike, along with a snack at the end.
Other scary outdoor Halloween activities include the Gilmore Ghost Town Campout on Oct. 26. The trip begins at 3 p.m. and ends the following day at 3 p.m.
The cost of $12 includes breakfeast, lunch and dinner. Students will learn the history of the abandoned mining town and enjoy the spookiness of the area.
Tickets for both events can be purchased online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
So go ahead. Celebrate the eeriness of the holiday naturally with Scary Hike’s and Gilmore Ghost Town Campout’s all-natural terrors.
