Nolan Archibald, Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Black & Decker Corporation, spoke of how he came to be a speaker at the Business Summit forum at BYU-Idaho on Thursday, March 20.
Archibald was the culminating speaker of the BYU-I Business Summit. Archibald talked of the many successes and job opportunities in his life, but he said the way to becoming most successful is being in control of key number six, keeping your priorities straight. He said the order must always be family, church, career and community service.
Archibald quoted Ned Hill, the Dean of BYU Marriot School of Management, saying, “We must have ‘The strength to act appropriately in questionable situations.’”
