The Testing Center will be changing its hours for finals week starting Dec. 18. The Testing Center will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m. The next day, Dec. 19, the Testing Center will open at 7 a.m. and will close at 10 p.m., as well. On Dec. 20, it will open at 7 a.m. and close to 6 p.m. The last test will be given one hour before closing each day. Students will need to follow the testing times in the finals test week schedule found on the Testing Center Web site. The Testing Center will have a priority line for students taking tests during their scheduled time. All other students who want to test will be in the standby line. I-Night Extravaganza to be held Jan. 3 Come climb a rock wall, roller-skate the night away, dance with all your friends and much more at I-Night Extravaganza! Don’t forget to make your travel plans now so that you can make it! Jan. 3, from 7-11 p.m. in the Manwaring Center and Hart Building. Tickets may be purchased on the night of the event at the door. Student Health Center closes on Dec. 20 The Student Health Center Pharmacy will be changing hours starting next week. The pharmacy will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and will re-open for winter semester at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4. Just a reminder to those students who will be off-track next semester or graduating this semester: It is often cheaper to “stock up” on medications here at the pharmacy before leaving, than it is to fill prescriptions at retail pharmacies back home. This is especially true for those on student insurance or those on birth control. The pharmacy will be open regular hours this week and next week for your convenience. Please call the pharmacy at 496-3429 with any questions that you may have. Students have chance to nominate teachers Each fall three to five faculty members each receive the Distinguished Teaching Award. Students play a major role in nominating these teachers. If you feel that one of your teachers is going the extra mile in his/her teaching we would appreciate a one page letter of recommendation in his/her behalf. The deadline for Fall 2006 letters is December 15, 2006. Please mail your letters of recommendation to: Marie C. Parkinson, Clarke 145E or send an e-mail to parkinsonm@byui.edu. |
