• Preparing proposal for structure changes and improvements in council.

• Re-evaluating current council operations/functions so we can improve in efficiency.

• Working with Alumni to revive, create and consider traditions to build unity among students and help maintain the “Spirit of Ricks.”

• Proposing to revive old, define new or improve current mascot (currently an honor student; may recommend a separate mascot in addition to keeping current mascot as a symbol).

• SRC is working to propose some form of friendly, competitive event with a sister university like BYU, perhaps once a year or so.

ADMINISTRATIVE UPDATES

• Student Solutions meetings were held Nov.14 and Dec.5.

• Curious what we do or how we function? Come sit in on one of our council meetings every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in MC 150 (our office).

• Kristina Southam, Jeff Potts and Melissa Pelfrey (SBO’s) and SRC members enjoyed answering your questions and serving you free hot chocolate in the library quad a couple weeks ago.

• The new Student Body Officers were selected by your votes last week. Look up the new officers on our Web site.

• It has been a great semester, thanks for your concerns and solutions. We look forward to an excellent winter semester with the new officers.
