Speech competitions to be held Dec. 2, 2006
The Newel K. Whitney Society and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) will be hosting competitions on Dec. 2 for students who would like to practice speaking in public. No technology aids will be allowed, including computers and projectors.

For the Public Speaking Competition, students will prepare a six-minute, informative speech on the current event of choice. To sign up, students must e-mail Eric Embree at embreee@byui.edu by Thursday, Nov. 30. at 5 p.m.

For the Elevator Speech Competition, students will prepare a 60-second speech on a business idea to present to a pseudo employer. Students must sign up through Amy Staiger in Smith 231 by Thursday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m.
