Attention book lovers
Students walking on campus may pass by posters lining the walls of some of the buildings. It would seem as though there, is something for everyone, but is there something for book lovers?

Book Review, an activity under Talent Exploration, gives students an opportunity to meet the first Thursday of every month to discuss a book the group read that month.

“The [Book Review] activities has truly enhanced my experience here,” said Catherine Bates, a sophomore from Sandy, Utah. Bates, who is the student director of Book Review, also says it is a great outlet for people who enjoy good literature.

Usually the books that are chosen are shorter because students have a lot of other demands on their time, said Megan Barker a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., the Visual Arts and Literature Director.

The last book the group read was A River Runs Through It, by Norman Maclean.

Participants are currently reading Anthem, by Ayn Rand for the next Book Review, Dec. 7. The Book Review meeting will be held in the Manwaring Center 387.

All students are invited to read Anthem and come to the next Book Review meeting.

“This isn’t your typical book club where they hand out tissues and chocolate at the door,” Barker said. “Bring your insights and your opinion.”
