After researching hundreds of jobs across the country, Money Magazine has compiled the best 100 jobs in the United States.

The occupations had to meet several criteria. Money Magazine used information gathered by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on past as well as projected growth.

Jobs with an average yearly salary below $50,000 were immediately eliminated, as were those with less than 15,000 total workers.

The level of stress for each occupation was a large factor, flexibility in hours, the working environment and the amount of creativity allowed.

Jacobie Harper, a sophomore from Rupert, Idaho, wants to teach music. She said the fact that her future profession wasn’t on Money Magazine’s list didn’t bother her.

“If you love what you do, money doesn’t matter,” Haper said. “At least it doesn’t matter to me.”
