Devotional Bio: Elder Harold G. Hillam
Elder Harold G. Hillam currently serves as the President of the Boise Idaho Temple and is an emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy. He was sustained a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in April 1991and served in that capacity until November 2005. During this time, he served as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy.

Prior to his call to the First Quorum of the Seventy, Elder Hillam served as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy, President of the Brazil Area, Regional Representative of the Portugal, Rexburg, St. Anthony, Idaho Falls and Pocatello Regions. He served as the President of the Portugal Lisbon Mission, as a regional welfare agent, stake president, Area Welfare leader, counselor in a stake presidency, bishop's counselor, and as a full-time missionary in Brazil.

Elder Hillam graduated from Northwestern University Dental School and received the honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Award. He continued on to specialize in Orthodontics, graduating with honors. He practiced dentistry and orthodontics in Idaho Falls for a number of years.

Elder Hillam and his wife Carol are the parents of seven children - three of which are here with us today. At the present time, they have 17 grandchildren.
