What was your motivation to run for executive vice president?
“I felt this would be a really cool opportunity for me to learn, serve and become a better person.”
What are your feelings on President Clark’s new calendar and its effects on the summer semester starting in 2007?
“I think it is great that he is finding ways to allow more students to come to this university and not raising the price. It is just as he said he would do in his inauguration. This will allow those who go to school during the summer semester the opportunity to take classes that were not offered in past summers.”
What is the main thing you plan to accomplish while you are vice president?
“I plan on trying to get more students involved in activities. There are so many opportunities here that people don’t take advantage of.”
What was your motivation to run for president?
“Due to my current position as a managing director in the Activities Program, I have seen and been involved with the changes made to the role of the student body president. I want to continue to define this changing role.”
How do you feel about the new calendar and its effects on the summer semester starting in 2007?
“I know that these changes are inspired. Elder Eyring said we would have ‘to do more with less.’ Taking two weeks out of a semester will teach us how to do just that. Also, these changes will add more consistency to BYU-Idaho and give students on summer track more opportunities.”
What is the main thing you plan to accomplish while you are president?
“As I talked with many students over the past two weeks, most didn’t know what the responsibilities of the student body presidency are. This needs to change.”
What was your motivation to run for vice president?
“I decided to run for this because it just felt right. I really felt like I could make a difference some small way.”
Since you will be vice president during the summer semester, what are your feelings on President Clark’s new calendar and its effects on the summer semester starting in 2007?
“I think that the calendar changes will be a good improvement to our school. With all change there will need to be adjustments, but ultimately I think that it is an inspired change, and I will support it.”
What is the main thing you plan to accomplish while you are vice president?
“I want to make sure all the students here know they made a contribution to this university when they graduate, and their attendance here was not overlooked and unnoticed.”
