McDonald’s is no stranger to lawsuits. In 2005 it was sued by Russell Rich, who claimed he was forced out of his job for having AIDS.
McDonald’s faces lawsuit for blood in fries bag
A woman filed a suit against McDonald’s Feb. 3, for at least $10,000 in relation to her discovery of blood in a bag of fries bought on Nov. 26, 2004, from a Gastonia, N.C., restaurant, according to the Associated Press.

Lora Davis, 42, said she had bought the meal at the drive-through window and ate it at work. She didn’t discover the blood until only a few fries remained.

“At first, I felt disbelief, then fear,” Davis said. “I get sick when I think about it.”

Upon discovery of the blood, Davis said she called the fast-food restaurant and spoke with an assistant manager. The assistant manager later called Davis back telling her the blood was an employee’s who had received a cut at work, she said.

Davis said a McDonald’s regional manager informed her the employee had been fired due to the incident.

Davis went to her doctor to be tested for infectious diseases because of the incident and was under the impression McDonald’s would pay for her medical bills, she said.
