While standing parallel from your spouse with a smile across your face, you now have a perilous decision to make: Do you shove the cake in their face or not?
One of the most predominant features of weddings is the cake. With such an important center attraction, most people want to have the latest styles and trends.
Many different flavors of cake are available, but it doesn’t matter what the cake tastes like as much as what the cake looks like. When designing a cake, a couple needs to decide on a shape, color, design, toppers and whether to follow a theme or not.
The first thing a couple needs to decide when designing a wedding cake is whether they will have or follow a theme. Deciding on the theme depends on how the cake can be decorated.
If you don’t want to follow a theme you could always follow the latest trends.
According to Brides magazine, the current cake shape craze is square or hexagonal stacked on top of each other with the new trend of decorating a design in stripes, polka dots or sugar flowers. Another popular trend is having some shade of pink decorated somewhere on the cake.
Lastly, a couple needs to decide on what type of figurine they want to adorn their cake. The types of figures vary from plastic brides and grooms to heirloom porcelain figures, gum-paste or fondant monograms.
Whatever a couple decides, the cake or the fight will be memorable.
