Cynthia Doxey is an associate professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University. Her research and teaching interests have included Church and Family History in Britain, and The Proclamation on the Family. She has authored several articles in each of these areas.
Sister Doxey received a bachelor's and master's degree in Child and Family Development and Family Ecology from the University of Utah, and a master's degree in Education from Cambridge University. She earned a Ph.D. in Family Studies at BYU. Along with her teaching and research, Sister Doxey enjoys researching her own family history. She has served as a Family History Consultant in her ward and stake. Currently, she sings with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and is a counselor in the Relief Society Presidency in her stake.
Sister Doxey is a native of Salt Lake City. She has also lived in Spain, England, Arizona, and Georgia. Her family includes her parents, seven siblings, and 38 nieces and nephews.
