It’s all about the little things. Good and bad ... A special rose from a special someone, brownies on a Sunday evening, a laugh shared over an inside joke. The fact that your roommates leave their clothes all over the apartment like a snake shedding its skin; wearing cold, wet socks; having to deal with insane morning people. Yep, it’s all about the little things that can be really irritating, that get under your skin and make you cringe; they are the pet peeves of life. Scroll asked a few students about their pet peeves and here is what they said.
Pet Peeve (pet pev) n.
A minor annoyance that can instill extreme frustration in an individual.
The term originated from the word “peeve.” A “peeve,” meaning something that is particularly irritation or annoying, is a relatively recent word. Its first printed usage was in 1911. The term is derived, however, from a 14th centry word, “peevish,” meaning ornery or ill tempered.

"Kids who make too many comments in class and just seem to know everything about everything."-Landon Sullivan, Junior, Stephenville, Texas
