Every summer of my life has been spent in Boise a beautiful, populated, growing city which comes in handy when looking for summer employment.
You can do anything. From fast food to retail to office work, Boise has endless options.
My summers were always filled with day care, Cold Stone, secretary work and EFY counseling. I was excited for summer, to start a new job or continue with my previous one. Summer employment was something to look forward to until now.
My husband and I have been married for five months now and I have loved everything about it, except for the first time ever, my summer will be spent in Rexburg.
Don’t get me wrong I really do love Rexburg. It’s just that finding a good job in Boise, with a population of 200,000, was never too big of a challenge. But finding a good job in a city of 17,000? That’s a different story.
I am not too worried; I still have about three months until it’s time to turn in applications. Still, in a city with a high job demand and a not so high number of jobs, I’ve got to be ready to jump on the job hunt.
Where will I work this summer? I don’t quite know yet. I’m sure this summer will turn out to be great once everything falls into place.
