BYU-Idaho Business Management faculty member Candyce Miller is recovering following a major heart attack Thursday, Jan. 19,

She is currently being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

This weekend Miller was removed from life support and is communicating with people around her, said Craig Bell, Business Management Department chair.

“From what I understand, the doctors are pleased with her progress,” Bell said.

The department is in daily contact with Miller’s husband and has been kept abreast of her condition.

All of Miller’s classes are being covered, and her students have been notified of her condition.

Miller has been working at BYU-I for more than 20 years. She graduated from BYU in Provo, Utah, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Education and Administrative Office Management in 1975 and a master’s degree in Education in 1977.
