What do construction management majors, a rocking horse, a ski pass and a snowmobiling package have to do with each other?

They are all related to the Associated General Contractors Conference that six BYU-Idaho students got to attend Dec. 3.

Six students were chosen to attend the conference. These students were chosen mainly due to their interest in working in commercial contracting in Idaho, said Rudy Puzey, architecture and construction faculty.

At the conference, students set up an information booth about possible internships and hires from BYU-I to help create opportunities with commercial contractors.

The students also helped out at the different workshops and at the auction.

As a part of the conference there was an educational auction to raise money for scholarships. BYU-I brought a two-day ski pass to Targhee Ski Resort, a two-day snowmobiling package to West Yellowstone Resort and a rocking horse made by Don Josephson, a junior from Tetonia, Idaho.

The proceeds raised from the items will come back to BYU-I in the form of scholarships.
