Don’t miss these Holiday events
In lieu of the “five golden rings” and “a partridge in a pear tree,” here are a few fun ideas that will keep you singing, dancing, laughing or at least smiling … all the way (at least through the end of the semester).
Dec. 1: Acoustic Café III, MC Little Theatre, 8 p.m., $3. The Fall Semester’s Acoustic Café series closes with its third and final show. If you liked Guitars Unplugged’s offerings, you’ll love Acoustic Café’s live acoustic in a smaller, more laidback setting. But buy your tickets early they don’t call it the Little Theatre for nothing!
Dec. 2: Super Heroes Dance MC West Ballroom, 9 p.m., $2. Come dressed as your favorite super hero and boogie to Top 40 hits at this semester’s last informal dance.
Dec. 4: Christmas Tree Lane, MC 2nd floor lobby, 8 a.m., free. Walk through the winter wonderland of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each sponsored by campus departments, clubs and wards.
Dec. 9: Student Film Festival, Kirkham Stage, 7 p.m., free. Enjoy student-made films at this end-of-the-semester, Friday night event. Want to enter your film? Come to the Student Filmmakers meetings, 8 p.m. Tuesdays in MC 375.
Dec. 10: Cabaret Dinner/Dance, MC West Ballroom, 6 p.m., $30 per couple This “Tinsel Town”-themed formal dance is your last chance of the semester to flaunt your fanciest frock and shake it with that special somoeone. After a turkey dinner, BYU-Idaho’s “Best of The Best” student performers will provide entertainment. Tickets include dinner, dance and pictures.
