Robert Pattinson, playing the role of Cedric Diggory in the upcoming movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), is a native of London, England.
Pattinson was born on May 14, 1986, and he participated in sports such as football, skiing and snowboarding while growing up. He also plays the guitar and keyboard.
However, his interest in acting developed when he became involved with participating in amateur plays when he was 15 years old, according to www.robertpattinson.org.
Pattinson then performed in several plays with the Barnes Theatre Club in London including Macbeth, Tess of the D’Urbevilles and Anything Goes.
However, Pattinson finally hit the screens when he played the character Gisheler in the television production Ring of the Nibelungs (2004).
