Every bride-to-be faces an endless array of decisions from color schemes to catering options. But perhaps the biggest decision she’ll make is picking the perfect wedding dress.

Circle of Love, a formal and bridal-wear shop, can help with that decision.

Heather Weber, who owns Circle of Love with her husband, Jon, said the store specializes in “everything needed for bridal and bridesmaid attire.” The Webers have owned Circle of Love since 1991.

Circle of Love began primarily as a formal dress and tuxedo rental store. However, it soon became apparent to the Webers that there was a definite consumer market for bridal gowns. In 1993, Circle of Love began carrying wedding dresses. At the time, it was difficult to find modest wedding dresses in Rexburg. However, with the increase of Ricks College students and the predominantly LDS community, it was evident that a change needed to be made.

Circle of Love now carries a line of “temple-ready” wedding dresses. There has been a boost within the last five years of dress companies that tailor their gowns toward LDS girls.

Circle of Love carries a variety of different makes and styles, said Heather.

Additionally, Circle of Love and Millennial Man, the partner store for men, can outfit the entire wedding party said the Webers. They also carry accessories such as jewelry, shoes and veils.

Circle of Love also offers some special perks for potential buyers. Those who purchase a dress and veil receive 10 percent off their entire purchase. There is also an in-house seamstress who is available to tailor to each individual girl’s needs. If the perfect dress is not in the store, a special order can be made.

Knowing a few things before the bride begins shopping for a dress will ease the decision-making process, said Heather.

The bride should have a clear idea of a budget and should not try on gowns that are clearly out of her price range.

In addition, she should keep an open mind. Some dresses may look completely different on a hanger than they look on a person. And that dress hanging up might be “the one.”

With the constantly changing trends in clothing and fashion, it may seem difficult to pinpoint a particular style trend in wedding dresses. “Girls like simple elegance,” Heather said. “This trend is particularly popular among LDS girls, who are cutting back on extravagant wedding ideas.”

The time of year that people are choosing to be married is also changing. Whereas most weddings used to take place in the summer or over Christmas break, now couples are squeezing in weddings whenever they can. This means a busy year-round schedule for Circle of Love and Millennial Man. “Girls are always looking for dresses,” Heather said.
