Jericho Road, a favorite Mormon band, has a new CD out that delivers a harmonious blend of modern, edgy pop and clean, inspiring lyrics.

There is More, the new album by Jericho Road, is the fifth for the four-man vocal group. With the classic boy-band sound, Jericho Road’s newest effort emanates the mood of uplifting pop relished by the Mormon world over.

“It’s music we would all listen to and is similar to what’s on the radio, but without the questionable lyrics,” said band member Justin Smith of the mood of the music.

Smith and the rest of the group, Bret Bryce, Abe Mills and Dave Kimball, are performing at BYU-Idaho on Nov. 5. BYU-I and the city of Rexburg will hear new songs and old favorites, known for their uplifting Christian pop tone and words.

Most lyrics on There is More clearly sing of Christian values. Songs like “Testify to Love” and “See the Light” testify of Jesus Christ, while songs like “Carry Me” and “Deeper Still” share messages of becoming immersed in the message of Christ.

“There is more to life, and I hope we can live each day knowing it’s a gift from above and allow that love into our lives,” Kimball said.

The rhythms and vocalization of There is More delivers modern voice, upbeat tempo and mainstream pop background instrumentals. There is More serves as a cheerful, light background to a day of studying. It also offers messages of hope and encouragement when the lyrics are really listened to.

An Integrated Business Core group on campus, VIP Entertainment, brings the message and mood of Jericho Road to BYU-Idaho. While enrolled in the IBC, business students learn Marketing, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, and Business Finance. IBC students, in conjunction with classwork, run their own businesses.

Not only will the concert teach the IBC how to bring about a major concert event and operate a successful business, the concert will also bring entertainment to BYU-Idaho as it dives headfirst into the frosty winter months.
