The inauguration of President Kim B. Clark will take place Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Hart Auditorium.
Many prominent individuals will be in attendance at the inauguration on Tuesday, most notable being President Gordon B. Hinckley.
He will be accompanied by President Thomas S. Monson and President James E. Faust.
Elders Richard G. Scott, Robert D. Hales, Henry B. Eyring and David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will attend. Members of the BYU-Idaho Board of Trustees attending include Elder Earl C. Tingey of the Presidency of the Seventy; Bonnie D. Parkin, Relief Society general president; and Susan W. Tanner, Young Women general president. They will be joined by Elder W. Rolfe Kerr, Commissioner of the Church Educational System and other members of the Church Educational System and the First Quorum of the Seventy.
President Hinckely will preside over and conduct the meeting. He will also issue the Installation and Charge to President Clark and offer the closing remarks. Other speakers include Lawrence H. Summers, president of Harvard University, Elder W. Rolfe Kerr, member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and Commissioner of Church Education System and President Clark, the president of BYU-Idaho.
The BYU-Idaho Symphony Orchestra, conducted by R. Kevin Call, will provide the prelude, postlude and academic processional music. The BYU-Idaho ROTC will present the posting of the colors, and the BYU-Idaho Combined Choirs and Symphony Orchestra will perform “Praise to the Lord Almighty,” conducted by Kevin Brower.
