Shia LeBeouf was born June 11, 1986 in Los Angeles, Calif., and was named after his grandfather, who was also a comedian.
LeBeouf, who performed stand-up comedy around his neighborhood, saw a friend in a TV show and decided he wanted to try acting.
After calling up an agent from the yellow pages, he performed for him and was signed, according to www.kidzworld.com.
In 2000, LeBeouf was cast in the role of Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel show Even Stevens and won an Emmy for his performance in 2003, according to www.imdb.com.
He starred as Stanley Yelnats in the hit movie Holes in 2003 and had roles in movies such as True Confessions, I Robot and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
LeBeouf also played opposite Keanu Reeves in the movie Constantine.
“I just think the major thing about this business that’s so fun for me is the fact that you get to meet all these amazing people,” said LeBeouf in a www.movies.about.com interview about the movie Constantine.
