Madison County Sheriff's Office has arrested three suspects connected to the ATV robbery from Rexburg Motor Sports as of last Friday.
The three suspects stole five ATVs from the Rexburg Motor Sports off-site facility two weeks ago. Their joy ride didn't last long.
One suspect from Star Valley, Wyo., was arrested Sept. 29 after a local resident spotted him with a brand new ATV, and knew he couldn't afford something like that, officials said.
The two following suspects, both from Archer, Idaho, were arrested the next day while heading to pick up the ATVs, which they had stored near the off-site compound.
The two men fled the area after spotting a detective from the case. One man was apprehended shortly after, the other man was arrested at 11 a.m.
Officials will charge all three men with burglary and grand theft, the total of the stolen possessions amounting to $46,000. The two Archer suspects may also be charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia found while searching their home.
“We do not think that there are any connections with the men knowing anyone from Rexburg Motor Sports,” Sheriff Roy Klinger said.
“There may be others involved but we have not had leads give us any solid confirmation of that,” Klinger said.
All three men are being held in custody in Madison County.
