* Historied courses indicate a direct correlation between a discontinued course and a new version of that same course (even if they have different course codes).  Historied courses will replace the respective discontinued course (including grade and credits) on official transcripts.  Additionally, a historied course will automatically satisfy an established course requirement on a degree audit.

* * Approved course substitutions do not act as an established retaken course and will not replace a prior grade on an official transcript.  However, approved course substitutions will be allowed to satisfy the degree requirement of a discontinued course.
