Step 1. Clear Restrictions (Current and Former Students) If you have been restricted from registering by the Dean of Students, if you have any unpaid bills at the university, or if you are on Academic Suspension, the computer will not allow you to register. Check with the Dean of Students Office, KIM 230, (208) 496-1120, to have Code of Honor restrictions removed. Check with Accounting, KIM 130, (208) 496-1050, to have financial restrictions removed. Check with the Student Records and Registration Office, KIM 190, (208) 496-1009, to have the academic suspension lifted.

Step 2. Cleared by Admissions Office (New and Former Students) All admitted applicants will attend one of the three academic tracks. The tracks are 1) Winter/Summer -- may enroll during Winter and Summer Semesters; 2) Summer/Fall -- may enroll during Summer and Fall Semesters; and 3) Fall/Winter -- may enroll during Fall and Winter Semesters and any or all Summer Terms. Students may not enroll in classes during their off-track semester. To be considered for admission, an application must be submitted to the Admissions Office, KIM 120 (208) 496-1020 by the application deadline.

Step 3. Academic Advising Clearance -- Continuing Students: Be cleared by the Office of Academic Advising each semester. If you have not applied for graduation, you must meet with your faculty advisor and update your educational plans. This information is used to inform transfer schools of your interest in attending. For further information, call (208) 496-1041.

Step 4. Ecclesiastical Endorsement -- Continuing Students: Each student must receive an endorsement from their Winter Semester bishop which is submitted to the Dean of Student's Office, phone, (208) 496-1120.

Step 5. Registration Deposit -- A Registration Deposit of $60 must be received before New and Former students will be allowed to register. This deposit is required of all students including those who will receive federal grants, loans, scholarships, and other financial aid.

Step 6. Plan Your Schedule of Classes --
Continuing Students: See your Faculty Advisor for assistance in planning your schedule. New Students on Campus: Go to the Career Advising Center (CAC), KIM 250, (208) 496-1167, for help. New Students at Home: Additional information can also be obtained by studying graduation, general education, and major requirements as listed in the Catalog. Use the TIME CHART found in this Class Schedule to plan your schedule of classes before beginning to register.

Step 7. Registration -- Refer to the Internet Registration Instructions on the inside of the front cover of the Class Schedule or go to the following link to check the instructions online: http://www.byui.edu/spencer/local/clsscd.htm

Step 8. Deadline for Payment of Tuition and Fees -- Students may make payments at any time towards tuition and fees. However, full payment of tuition and fees owing is due in the Cashier's Office by the deadline date as indicated in the Academic Calendar. Thereafter, a late payment fee of 5% on the unpaid balance will be charged. Interest will then be charged at the rate of 1% per month on the unpaid balance until paid in full.

* Fee and Schedule Form constitutes the official registration and billing form of the university. Upon request to the Registrar's Office, students will receive a Fee and Schedule Form showing: 1) the schedule of classes for which the student is currently registered, 2) the details of tuition and fees assessed, 3) any tuition payments, 4) any awarded grants and scholarships, approved BYU-Idaho loans, and other credits which will be applied on the first day of classes, 5) the amount which will be owed after payments and credits are deducted, and 6) appropriate payment deadlines and notes.

* A new Fee and Schedule Form may be requested with each change in registration or printed from the Registration page on the Internet. Statements or billings will NOT be automatically mailed when registering or making changes unless requested by the student. Questions about payments should be directed to the Accounting Office, (208) 496-1050.
