Academic Petition Procedures
Students may appeal BYU-Idaho academic policies using approved petitions. Each petition has its own purpose and process. Please read the descriptions provided for each of the petitions below to determine which is appropriate for your particular situation. Each petition goes before a committee which reviews all applicable information in order to approve or deny the request. The student is notified of the committee's decision via the student's BYU-Idaho email account.
All petitions should be submitted to the Student Records and Registration Office:
- fax - (208) 496-1035
- mail - BYU-Idaho SRR, KIM 190, Rexburg, ID, 83460-1640
- in person - Kimball 190
- e-mail - srrpetitions@byui.edu
