Burgfest is one of Rexburg's biggest summer music festivals where bands travel from near and far to perform.

Tanner Waite, who works at the Burg and is helping with the festival said it will be a great way to celebrate music and art.

"It's really the only outdoor, live-music festival of its kind here in Rexburg," said Waite. "We'll shut the whole street down out in front of The Burg, between The Burg and the I-Center and we've got eight bands playing, five from out of town. It's going to be a lot of fun."

The Burg has done parties similar to Burgfest but Waite said this year's party will be bigger and better than anything they've done in the past.

"I'm looking forward to people getting excited for live music," said Waite. "it's really exciting to have a big event that lots of people are going to come to. The bands are going to have a good time, the community will have a good time. To me, that's what it's all about."

The bands booked for Burgfest this year include Cinders, Motion Coaster, The Emilys, The Howls, New Hollywood, For Your Health, Vic Fox, and the Yeti Holas. The event is on July 15 from 5-11 pm and is free to the public. You can find more information on The Burg's Facebook page
