What is on-campus housing?
On-campus housing units or dorms are run by BYU-Idaho and have several different men’s and women’s facilities conveniently located across the streets from campus. Some dorms are equipped with a kitchen; and fopod services options are available for the non-cooking dorms. All on-campus housing provides many great amenities, including high-speed internet.

What is Off-campus Housing?
There are several off-campus housing units available to students, which are independently owned and run. All off-campus housing units must be approved by the university (see ‘What is approved housing?’ below)

What is Approved Housing?
Both the dorms and select off-campus housing units are known as “approved housing”, which means the apartments have been approved by BYU-Idaho.

Young, single BYU-Idaho students are required to live in approved housing in order to help them uphold the Honor Code. Approved housing units agree to abide by the following conditions, among others: -separate male and female students -provide an on-site manager -provide resident assistants (RAs) Click for more details about approved housing guidelines
