Preparation Checklists
- Attend Get Connected: Get Connected is program designed to orient new BYU–Idaho students to campus programs, services, and atmosphere. Review the Get Connected schedule online at www.byui.edu/getconnected and make the necessary travel arrangements to participate.
- Check into housing complex: Move into your housing complex on the Move-in/Student Services Day which is posted online in the Get Connected schedule at www.byui.edu/getconnected.
- Get your I-Card: The I–Card is your student identification card. You can get yours at the I -Card office in the Manwaring Center room 223 no earlier than one week before the beginning of your first semester of class.
- Pay Tuition: Tuition and other payments can be paid using an electronic check (no service charge) or MasterCard (2.1% service charge, subject to change; Visa is not accepted). Payment can be made in the following ways:
- online on your Personal Account screen found through my.byui.edu
- in person at the Cashier’s Office windows on the ground floor of the Spencer W. Kimball building
- over the phone at (208) 496-1080
Deadlines for tuition, fees, and insurance are found in the BYU–Idaho catalog, www.byui.edu/catalog, and on the University Calendar, www.byui.edu/events under the ‘Academics’ portion of the calendar. - Get a parking permit: If you have a vehicle, you’ll want to get a parking permit soon after arriving on campus. The Parking Services office in the Spencer W. Kimball building is the place to go: www.byui.edu/parkingservices.
- Tap into Academic Learning:Whether you want to improve your reading skills, revise an essay, get tutoring for a
specific class, improve your study skills, or ask a math question, you can get all the help you need free of charge in the
Academic Learning Center. Visit them at www.byui.edu/academiclearning or stop by the East Wing, 2nd floor of the Mckay
Library. - Go to Class: What are you waiting for? Your life as a BYU–Idaho student starts now!
