Private Show Scheduling

The Planetarium may be scheduled for private shows by school groups, scout groups, family, church, and civic groups.  The Planetarium will comfortably hold 40 adults.  You may schedule a show Tuesday through Friday; except Friday nights.  Private showings cost a minimum of $40 (if your group has less than 20 people) or $2.00 per person (if your group is larger).  Saturday shows may be scheduled on rare occasion for a minimum of $50.  

We strongly encourage you to pay by check.  Otherwise, you must have exact change, we do not have a cash box and cannot make change.  

To make your visit more enjoyable, please follow the steps below.

• Look over the list of planetarium shows.  Choose one that best fits your group.
• Choose two dates and times for your show (in case one time is already taken)
• Call the Scheduling Office at (208) 496-2242 between 8-12p.m. and 1-5 p.m.
• You must schedule at least two weeks prior to the desired date.
• You may schedule as much as one month in advance to guarantee your choice of date.
• Please be aware that our staff has other obligations to fulfill; teaching, committees, classes, etc. so only a few times will be available.
