Observatory
Welcome to the BYU-Idaho Observatory. Because of the nature of the Observatory, all times and dates are subject to change based on weather conditions and faculty resources. But the following information are the general guidelines we use.
The Observatory is:
- Closed on cloudy/overcast nights
- Open to the public
- Free of charge
- Operators are on duty to answer questions, point out constellations, and operate the telescope.
Unfortunately, our dome is broken, and Winter's in Idaho are not the friendliest, so the Observatory is CLOSED for the Winter semester. We hope to have things operational again by Spring. For further information regarding the Observatory please contact Bro. Brian Tonks at tonksb@byui.edu.
