What is Physics?

Physics is devoted to the study of matter and energy on a range of scales extending from the size of subatomic particles to the size of the entire universe. Advances in our understanding of matter and its interactions have led to great scientific and technological progress. This progress will continue in the future as physicists refine their tools and techniques of inquiry.
