Dance Alliance
Dance Alliance is a unique company of about 35 BYU-Idaho students who are trained in many different genres of dance. These students strive for excellence as they develop their talents and become unified in a praiseworthy endeavor.
One main goal of Dance Alliance is to uplift and inspire audiences who experience the performances. In April 2007, the company participated in a three-week tour throughout Georgia and Florida. In July 2008, the group performed in Michigan, Ontario and Quebec. And in April 2009, they took their talents to Russia.
Dance Alliance performs ballet, ballroom, swing, clogging, tap, jazz, world, spiritual and contemporary dances. The company strives to keep their music, costumes and choreography in harmony with the 13th Article of Faith which states, "Anything that is virtuous, lovely or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
