White Bar

Sinfonietta

Under the direction of Dr. Robert Tueller, the orchestra is comprised of 35 accomplished string and wind musicians from all parts of the United States. These members are selected through a vigorous audition process and represent some of the most exceptional musicians at BYU-Idaho. Each player brings many years of experience to the ensemble and adheres to an ambitious rehearsal and performance schedule. Perhaps the most important quality each player possesses is the ability to communicate feeling through music, as will be noted by every audience. Including the performers, artistic director, tour manager and chaperone, there are 34 - 35 participants.

BYU-Idaho's Sinfonietta is sure to deliver musical excellence that will touch and inspire all audiences. Designed to provide a near "professional" experience for advanced students, performances include operas, chamber music, string orchestra concerts, and full chamber performances. Remarkable works from the 17th through the 20th centuries will captivate audiences with the beauty and artistry both heard and felt as these performers strive to convey their sentiments through music.
