Gary Larsen is a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer specializing in World and percussive dance forms. He holds a Masters Degree in Dance from UCLA and is currently completing a PhD in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick in Ireland. As a performer he has traveled to dozens of countries as both group member and soloist. He has taught and created choreography for workshops, performing groups and schools throughout the United States and in numerous other countries for over 20 years. As a faculty member in the department of Theater and Dance at BYU-Idaho, he oversees and/or teaches courses in clogging, tap, world dance, dance history, dance philosophy, humanities, choreography and performance. He is married with three children and operates a dance studio in Rexburg, Idaho teaching clogging, American period dance, hip-hop, jazz and children's creative dance.
