AFY Winter



If you're looking to add more excitement to your winter break, check out AFY Winter held at the BYU Idaho Outdoor Learning Center at Badger Creek. You will stay at the beautiful Badger Creek Ranch at the hills of the Grand Teton Mountains. Come enjoy 3 days and 2 nights of thrilling activities, inspiring devotionals, and lasting memories.  You'll spend a day snowboarding or skiing at Grand Targhee Resort, and two days sledding on Badger Creek's famous sled hill, ice skating, listening to uplifting devotionals, and enjoying other activities that Badger Creek has to offer.

Where will you stay?

  1. Participants will sleep in our heated bunk cabins that sleep up to eight (roommate requests welcome). Participants will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
  2. Excellent meals will be provided
  3. Participants will spend most of their time outdoors so please prepare accordingly

What is the Cost?

The cost for AFY winter 2013 is $250 and that covers all activities (except for rented equipment), food and lodging


Skates are provided by Badger Creek

Participants are responsible for providing their own skiing or snowboarding equipment. Rentals are available through the Outdoor Resource Center on campus click here for pricing or at Targhee click here for pricing.

What if I don't know how to ski/snowboard?

No problem! If you don't know how to ski or snowboard, but would like to attend AFY winter let us know and we will set up a lesson for you with Targhee Ski Resort, for an additional charge. Let us know in the registration process if you would like us to set up lessons for you.
