The Faculty Technology Center (FTC) was built to support academic needs, ranging from I-Learn training to specific technology support to even development services. The FTC is located in MCK 355 and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 6:00 pm.


I-Learn Training

Trained employees are available to personally teach the ins and outs of I-Learn.
We’ll help you learn how to:

  • Create a course
  • Copy course materials into a course
  • Add a TA or instructor into a course
  • Utilize the Grade Center
  • Create a wiki
  • Create a blog
  • Utilize a discussion board
  • Post a podcast
  • Set up a new test
  • Create groups
  • Implement Portfolios, and more…

 

Technology Support

This lab is dedicated to training faculty in the use of instructional technology such as:

  • Video, Audio, & Photo editing
  • Scanning (documents, photos, slides)
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Camtasia (create video tutorials)
  • Windows Vista
  • Microsoft Office Suite 2007
  • Photoshop (image manipulation and enhancement)
  • Publisher (brochures, newsletters, posters)
  • Audacity (audio capture and editing)
  • Video Conferencing (two-way audio and video)
