Brown Bag Presentation
![]()
On September 20th and 21st, 2007, Peter Williams, newly hired Online
Courses Coordinator, gave a brown bag lunch presentation about the process
of developing online learning. The presentation showed how the BYU-Idaho
Learning Model allows the process of creating a course for on-campus
delivery to extend naturally into an online setting. Specific subjects
included 1) planning now for online course delivery, 2) documenting your
current best practices, 3) utilizing student work as course materials, and
4) organizing interactive environments. The discussion included the unique
elements of a BYU-Idaho online course, and the potential of online learning
at BYU-Idaho. The brown bag seminar was co-sponsored by the Faculty
Development Committee, Academic Technology, Student Peer Instruction, and
Continuing Education.
