*Tuition for the Pathway program may increase annually at the same rate as other students. Also, to see other associated costs for courses after students' first year with Pathway, please view the Course List.

Pathway students who choose to continue their education on-campus will pay regular on-campus tuition. Read here for more information about students' costs.

Calculating Tuition

Please note that tuition is based on how many BYU-Idaho course credits a student is taking per semester. A course credit is a measurement universities use to quantify the load of work for a specific course and enables universities to quantify a requirement to graduate. Each course is associated with a different credit amount.

Age 18-30 Group (U.S./Canada)
Fall & Winter Semesters:
$65 per credit x 3 BYU-Idaho credits = $195 per semester
$0 per credit x 2 institute credits = $0 per semester

Spring Semester:
$65 per credit x 5 BYU-Idaho credits = $325 per semester

Age 31+ & ESL Groups (U.S./Canada)
Fall, Winter, & Spring Semesters:
$65 per credit x 5 BYU-Idaho credits = $325 per semester

International Groups
Fall, Winter, & Spring Semesters:
Mexico: $35 per credit x 5 BYU-Idaho credits = $175 per semester
Peru: $30 per credit x 5 BYU-Idaho credits = $150 per semester
Ghana: $20 per credit x 5 BYU-Idaho credits = $100 per semester
