336 face-to-face clinical hours is the total amount of hours spent throughout these courses


CLINICAL PLACEMENT REQUEST

You must fill out this request form before arranging clinicals:

Fall-request due by May 1st
Winter-request due by September 1st
Spring-request due by February 1st


ARRANGING CLINICALS

Clinicals are very important within these classes. If you fail to complete your clinicals, you fail the course all together, and will need to retake it. You also need to arrange these clinicals before the first day of classes, unless you are choosing to do a project.


To complete the hours associated with Clinicals you have three options to choose from:

PROJECT

Approved activities designed to answer complex nursing questions or solve complicated nursing problems outside of a facility.




- Set up with instructor during the first week of the course.
- Demonstrated outside of any facility setting.
- On the clinical placement request list “PROJ” as your clinical option

FACE-TO-FACE CLINICALS

Applying theory and skills in all patient care areas which may include: hospitals, clinical learning lab, simulations and community settings


Preceptorship Agreement
A facility that requires the student to set up a one page agreement with.




- A facility where BYU-Idaho does not have an Affiliation Agreement.
- Complete two copies of the RN to BSN Preceptorship Agreement form
- Mail both copies to Nursing Outreach.
- On your clinical placement request list “Preceptorship” as your clinical option.


Affiliation Agreement
A facility that BYU-Idaho already has contracted an agreement with.
