Prerequisites

ASN Nursing Lab

Before applying, complete a full academic semester of 12 or more credits AND at least one prerequisite course.

Prerequisites

  • Bio 264 and Bio 265 must be completed with a "B" or better. (Human Anatomy & Physiology I-II, 8 credits)
  • One academic semester with 12 credits or more.
  • Recommended High School Courses: Algebra II or higher, Nutrition, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry

A 3.5 overall GPA is required for application. GPA's Students earned from colleges or universities previously attended are averaged with the BYU-Idaho cumulative GPA to determine overall GPA.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of Fall 2011, high school Chemistry does NOT meet any Department of Nursing requirement. This applies to all students applying to the nursing program for the first time for Winter 2012 and beyond. It does prepare the student for the required college chemistry course (CHEM 101).
